Swallow Furniture is owned and run by local boy Des Tamplin, a City & Guilds trained Cabinet Maker and Furniture Designer who qualified back in 1985 at Rycotewood Furniture College in Thame, Oxford.
He set up Swallow Furniture in 1992 making quality handmade, solid wood furniture and kitchens. He uses a wide variety of top quality woods, all sourced from FSC managed forests including Oak, Maple, Walnut and reclaimed Pine as well as offering a range of hand painted furniture & kitchens.
Des works with you personally to design genuinely bespoke furniture to fit all your home’s space and storage requirements, making every project a joint collaboration between himself and the client.
His Kitchens are all made with rigid 19mm thick cabinets, 27mm thick doors set within frames on traditional butt hinges, with solid wood, dovetailed drawer boxes on silent, soft close runners. Every piece is designed, constructed and finished by hand.
All of the furniture is available in a wide range of both contemporary and traditional styles and finishes.
